Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) continued its rebound in deliveries last month, approaching its all-time high.

The company delivered 47,774 vehicles in June, second only to last December's record high of 50,353 vehicles, according to data it released today.

That's up 46.66 percent from 32,575 a year ago and up 36.42 percent from 35,020 in May.

In the second quarter, Li Auto delivered 108,581 vehicles, up 25.48 percent from the same period last year and up 35.05 percent from the first quarter.

Deliveries for the quarter fell within the guidance range of 105,000 to 110,000 vehicles provided by Li Auto when it reported first quarter results on May 20.

During the first half of the year, Li Auto delivered 188,981 vehicles, up 35.84 percent from the previous year.

The company's cumulative deliveries since inception stand at 822,345 vehicles, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

Li Auto's least expensive model, the Li L6, contributed a major portion of sales last month, delivering more than 20,000 units, according to a statement from the company today.

"Since the second quarter, Li Auto has reclaimed the top spot in sales among China's emerging new energy auto brands, and has become the sales champion of Chinese auto brands in the RMB200,000 and higher NEV market, driven by the launch of our new model, Li L6, and the improvement of store efficiency," Li Xiang, founder, chairman and CEO of Li Auto, said.

Launched on April 18, the Li L6 is Li Auto's extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) model following the Li L7, Li L8 and Li L9.

Li Auto launched the Li Mega MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), its first battery electric vehicle (BEV), on March 1, but its performance was weak.

In early July, Li Auto will officially roll out its NOA that does not rely on high-definition maps to all AD Max users, according to the company.

As of June 30, the company had 497 retail stores in 148 cities, 421 service centers and Li Auto authorized body and paint stores in 220 cities, and 614 supercharging stations with 2,726 charging piles in China.
