"Nio Day, is an annual gathering of Nio and its users and friends. Since its inaugural edition in 2017, it has become our common holiday," the company wrote in a post on the Nio App.

Since 2020, Nio has left the decision of the city where Nio Day is held in the hands of its users, it said.

In the past four years, 17 cities have participated in the bidding for Nio Day events, according to the company.

As in the past, Nio requires that new candidate cities have not hosted Nio Day in the past eight years.

Candidate cities need to have venues available for 10 consecutive days from December 1, 2024, to January 15, 2025, that can accommodate at least 8,000 people, according to Nio.

Nio car clubs in different cities can submit their interest in applying between June 14-19, and the Nio Day organizing committee will conduct preliminary venue surveys from June 20-23.

On July 6, the Nio Day organizing committee will nominate three candidate cities in preparation for the user voting process.

From July 12-19, Nio will showcase the three cities on its channels including Nio App, Nio Radio.

From July 19-21, users can vote for the host city they support in the Nio App.
