A Nio website page that's only been available for a few hours describes the Onvo brand and the key features of the sub-brand's mobile app.
Nio's (NYSE: NIO) website has revealed more information about Onvo (Ledao in China), with its mass-market sub-brand about half a month away from being unveiled.
The electric vehicle (EV) maker has prepared a temporary page for Onvo, using a secondary domain name from nio.com: alpssev.nio.com. Onvo has an internal project code-named Alps at Nio.
Notably, the page was taken down after only a few hours of being live. CnEVPost obtained screenshots of key content before the page was taken offline.
“First model L60, stay tuned,” reads the text in the center of the page.
The bottom of the page provided an introduction to the Onvo brand and three screenshots of the Onvo mobile app.
Onvo is Nio's new brand, with the first product positioned as a family car and scheduled for release in 2024, the page's text reads.
“Onvo App is an app for the official Onvo website, designed to provide users with a full range of automotive services and user experiences about Onvo,” the page reads.
The page also mentions the main features of the Onvo App:
Onvo Community: Users can use the Onvo App to learn about Onvo, including the latest product and technology advances, as well as owners' real-life car-using experiences.
Car Buying: Users can browse vehicle details and customize their vehicles on the Onvo App, as well as access practical buying guides and transparent and uniform price quotes.
Charging Map: It helps users to check the location of charging stations and battery swap stations in their neighborhood, plan the best charging routes, and locate unused charging stations when necessary.
Onvo Mall: This is a lifestyle and vehicle accessories mall within the Onvo App, offering a wide range of goods and services covering food, apparel, household goods, and other areas to meet the diversified needs of users.
Onvo App is a comprehensive service platform that integrates access to official information, car purchasing, community interaction and car owner services, according to the text on the page.
From the screenshots provided on the page, Onvo App looks similar to Nio App, including the layout of different sections.
In addition, the page offers Onvo's logo in the lower right corner, which has an orange background and a letter that looks like an “N.”
Nio confirmed the Onvo name during a media Q&A after its long-life battery launch on March 14, and said the brand launch is expected to be in early to mid-May.
Earlier this month, the company's co-founder and president, Qin Lihong, said the Onvo brand would be launched in mid-May.
