Customers who buy the new M7 before April 30 can get a RMB 20,000 ($2,770) cash discount, according to a promotion displayed on the Aito App today.

This means that the starting price of the new M7 has been reduced by 8.01 percent to RMB 229,800 from the previous RMB 249,800.

Aito is a premium automotive brand launched by Seres Group with Huawei on December 2, 2021, and has already released models including the Aito M5, Aito M7, and Aito M9.

The Aito M7 was initially launched on July 4, 2022. On September 12, 2023, Huawei rolled out the updated M7, allowing for a significant price reduction.

Aito now offers four five-seat variants as well as three six-seat variants of the new M7, with a starting price range of RMB 249,800 ($34,570) to RMB 329,800 before discounts.

The SUV had been a lukewarm performer until Aito updated the M7, which changed its fortunes last September.

Aito delivered more than 10,000 units per month for most of the second half of 2022, but performed weakly in 2023, with most months below 6,000 units.

Aito announced on November 27 that the new M7 had accumulated more than 100,000 firm orders after 2.5 months on the market.

On January 20, Richard Yu, chairman of Huawei's intelligent car solutions, said on Weibo that the new Aito M7 had accumulated more than 130,000 firm orders in the four months since its launch.

In January-February, Aito delivered 54,115 vehicles, up 578.13 percent year-on-year, according to data compiled by CnEVPost. March delivery figures are expected to be announced earlier today.
