China's retail sales of passenger new energy vehicles (NEVs) were 563,000 units from November 1 to November 26, up 33 percent year-on-year and but 7 percent from the same period last month, data released today by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) show.

So far this year, China's passenger NEV retail sales amounted to 6,517,000 units, up 34 percent year-on-year.

From November 1 to November 26, China's wholesale sales of passenger NEVs were 679,000 units, up 42 percent year-on-year, flat from the same period in October, according to the CPCA.

So far this year, China's passenger NEV wholesale sales stood at 7.479 million units, up 36 percent year-on-year.

In the November 1-26 period, China's retail sales of all passenger vehicles stood at 1.389 million units, up 17 percent compared with the same period last year while down 12 percent from the same period last month, the CPCA said.

So far this year, China's retail sales of passenger cars were up 4 percent year-on-year to 18.656 million units.

That means NEV penetration at retail in China was 40.5 percent in the November 1-26 period, and 34.9 percent so far this year.

In the first week of November -- November 1 to November 5 -- China's average daily passenger car retail sales were 37,875 units, up 6 percent from a year ago but down 27 percent from the same period last month, according to the CPCA.

In the second week of November -- November 6 to November 12 -- China's average daily retail sales of passenger cars were 49,845 units, up 26 percent from a year ago while down 7 percent from the same period last month.

In the third week of November -- November 13 to November 19 -- average daily retail sales of passenger cars in China were 62,251 units, up 21 percent from a year earlier and up 9 percent from a month earlier. The figure was revised down slightly from the 62,291 units reported by the CPCA last week.

In the fourth week of November -- from November 20 to November 26 -- the average daily retail sales of passenger cars in China were 59,276 units, up 11 percent from a year ago but down 24 percent from the same period last month.

In terms of wholesale sales, China's average daily wholesale sales of passenger cars in the first week of November were 42,085 units, up 8 percent year-on-year and up 20 percent from the same period last month.

Wholesale sales in the second week of November were 52,754 units, up 27 percent year-on-year and up 1 percent from the same period last month.

Wholesale sales for the third week of November were 69,086 units, up 23 percent year-on-year and up 6 percent from the same week last month. The figure was revised down slightly from the 69,126 units the CPCA posted last week.

Wholesale sales for the fourth week of November were 76,144 units, up 15 percent year-on-year but down 30 percent from the same week last month.

In the November 1-26 period, China's passenger car wholesale sales were at 1,596,000 units, up 19 percent year-on-year but down 9 percent from the same period a month earlier. Cumulative wholesale sales for the year to date were at 21,867,000 units, up 8 percent year-on-year.
