Li Auto's delivery guidance for the first quarter is 52,000 to 55,000 vehicles, and the latest figures mean it is on track to deliver between 20,239 and 23,239 vehicles in March.
Li Auto delivered 16,620 vehicles in February, up 9.77 percent from 15,141 in January and up 97.53 percent from 8,414 in the same month last year, figures released today show.
Li Auto guided for first-quarter deliveries of 52,000 to 55,000 vehicles when it reported fourth-quarter earnings on February 27.
The company's delivery figures for February mean it is on track to deliver between 20,239 and 23,239 vehicles in March.
It is worth noting that this year's Chinese New Year holiday, which fell from January 21 to 27, has had an impact on January deliveries. Last year's Chinese New Year was from February 1 to 6, 2022, which had an impact on last February's deliveries.
At the end of February, Li Auto's cumulative deliveries reached 289,095 units.
As of February 28, the company had 298 retail stores in 122 cities, as well as 317 service centers and Li Auto-authorized body and paint stores operating in 223 cities.
On February 8, Li Auto officially launched its first five-seat SUV, the Li L7. In addition to the previously previewed Pro as well as Max versions, the model is also available in a less expensive Air version with a starting price of RMB 319,800.
The Li L7 Pro and Max have a starting price of RMB 339,800 and 379,800 respectively.
In addition to the Li L7 Air, Li Auto also began offering an Air version of the Li L8 at a starting price of RMB 339,800, while the Li L8 was previously available in Pro and Max versions at a starting price of RMB 359,800 and RMB 399,800, respectively.
Deliveries of the Li L7 Pro and the Li L7 Max will begin on March 1, and deliveries of the Li L7Air and Li L8 Air will begin in early April.
"As a go-to premium SUV brand for families, we further enriched our L series and once again solidified our market position in the RMB300,000 to RMB500,000 price segment," Li Xiang, chairman and CEO of Li Auto, said today.
Li Auto has an internal target of 25,000-30,000 monthly deliveries and will aim to achieve that target in the second quarter, its management said in a call with analysts after announcing earnings on February 27.
April will be the first full delivery month for the Li L7 Pro and Li L7 Max, and May will be the first full delivery month for the Air product line.
