Jidu's first robot car concept will be unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year, and the production model will be unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and will be available in 2023, local media Cailian quoted Baidu as saying today.

The brief report offers nothing more, but a separate report mentions that Baidu's ANP (Apollo Navigation Pilot) 2.0 will be used in production vehicles this June.

Baidu said ANP 2.0 targets low- to mid-range vehicles priced at RMB 100,000 ($15,850) - 200,000, and will cover scenarios including parking lots and highways.

Baidu will use ANP 3.0 in production vehicles in July 2023, targeting models priced at RMB 200,000 or more, aiming for Tesla FSD-like capabilities, according to the report.

ANP 3.0 application scenarios cover highways, parking lots and city streets, and the first model to use it is Jidu's, according to the report.

Jidu was officially launched on March 2, 2021 and will build models based on Geely's Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform as well as Baidu's technology in autonomous driving.

At the Baidu Create developer conference on December 27, 2021, the company's founder, chairman and CEO Robin Li said Jidu will unveil its first concept car robot in the first half of 2022, with mass production and delivery in 2023.

The concept will be unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year, and the production version of the car robot will look 90 percent the same as the concept, according to information previously announced by Jidu.

Late last month, Jidu released the first preview video of its concept car, revealing some interesting details.

JiDU's concept car has a pop-up design on both sides of the front hatch, which looks like two LiDARs.
