In extremely hot and cold conditions, the M7's air conditioning system can reach a comfortable temperature in 17 minutes, according to WM Motor.

WM Motor conducted winter testing of the M7 sedan's air conditioning, battery thermal management, low-temperature charging, and power performance in the city of Heihe in northeast China's Heilongjiang province, where temperatures reached as low as -30 °C, according to the company.

In that extremely cold environment, the M7's tested energy consumption was only 17kWh/100km, the company said, adding that this effectively addresses the worries of users in alpine regions with sharply reduced vehicle range in winter.

After being frozen, the M7 started normally and the thermal management system worked properly and efficiently, according to WM Motor.

In that environment, the M7 charges from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 30 minutes, it says.

In regular seasons, such as spring and fall, the M7's air conditioning can bring the temperature to a zone of about 22 °C near the head and about 33 °C at the feet in five minutes. In extremely hot and cold environments, this temperature can be reached in 17 minutes, according to the company.

The M7 will go through many more rounds of testing next, and the car will be officially launched in 2022, the company said.

WM Motor unveiled the M7 on October 22 last year, offering a highly controversial look along with superb hardware features.

The company said the model would feature three LiDARs, with the LiDAR module mounted on the roof showing a distinct bulge.

However, the vehicle WM Motor showed for winter testing does not appear to have LiDARs, meaning the part will likely only be used in higher trim versions.

WM Motor previously said that the M7 will be delivered in production in 2022, and no pricing information for the model was announced.
