He Xiaopeng, chairman and CEO of Xpeng Motors, is among the top 100 richest people in the Chinese mainland, according to a Forbes list released today.
He, 44, ranks 76th on the list, with a wealth of RMB 48 billion (US$7.5 billion), the list shows.
His local counterparts - William Li, founder, chairman and CEO of Nio, and Li Auto, founder, chairman and CEO of Li Auto - did not make the list.
On the Forbes China 400 Rich List released last year, Nio's Li ranked 133rd with a wealth of RMB 26.62 billion and Li Auto's Li ranked 159th with a wealth of RMB 22.62 billion.
Notably, as the richest person in the world, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has a wealth of $336 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. This is 45 times that of Xpeng's He's wealth.
On Forbes' latest list, Zhong Shanshan, the founder and chairman of the Nongfu Spring beverage company, is the richest person in the Chinese mainland, with a wealth of RMB 424.4 billion.
Zhang Yiming, the founder of ByteDance, came in second place with a fortune of RMB 382.5 billion. Power battery giant CATL Robin Zeng came in third, with a fortune of RMB 327.2 billion.
