The SAIC-Volkswagen ID.3 was officially unveiled in China at the Chengdu Motor Show, which opened on Sunday, and is now available for pre-order. It will go on sale within the year.
The ID.3, the Golf's electric counterpart, is one of the top-selling electric cars in Europe.
In China, it is SAIC Volkswagen's third pure electric car based on the MEB platform, with a length, width and height of 4,261*1,778*1,568mm and a wheelbase of 2,765mm.
It is equipped with a rear-mounted single electric motor with a maximum power of 125kW.
The ID.3 has a battery capacity of 57.3kWh and a combined working range of 430km.
The overseas version of ID.3 offers three range options, 330km, 420km and 550km respectively under WLTP standard.
Users need to pay only RMB 300 to pre-order the model, which can be offset by RMB 3,000 when purchasing the car.
