Xpeng Motors' Navigation Guided Pilot (NGP) automated navigation-assisted driving feature has reached 2,329,683 kilometers of user miles as of March, the Chinese electric vehicle company said Monday.

Xpeng revealed the data in its monthly report for March released Monday, saying the rapid growth in mileage is a testament to the popularity and acceptance of NGP.

In March, completed the 3,000-kilometer NGP Expedition Challenge, becoming the first auto company to complete a similar event with a mass-produced self-driving assistance feature.

The NGP Expedition Challenge took 8 days to complete, passing through 10 cities, with multiple drivers switching hands to complete the challenge.

NGP achieved a 94% success rate in lane changes and overtaking, and a similar 93% for highway ramp entry/exit.

At the Xpeng NGP expedition challenge results sharing meeting held on March 31, Xpeng Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng said, "We not only want to be the best in China, but also want to bring intelligent capabilities to the world".

In the intelligent track, Xpeng will continue to lead the industry and bring more and stronger intelligent products, he said.

Xpeng's report also shows that the average daily usage time of Xpeng individual users' in-car music bicycles reached 133.94 minutes in March, another record high.
