Changan Automobile will follow the guidelines of the Shangri-La Project and plans to launch a total of 25 smart new energy vehicles by 2025, the company said today during an exchange with investors.
Changan will build three dedicated platforms for new energy vehicles, covering different models including EVs, PHEVs and FCVs by 2025.
Previously, Changan said that it is jointly developing intelligent networked electric vehicle platforms and products with Huawei and CATL, and will release relevant information in due course according to the progress of the project in the future.
For Changan, the cooperation with the leading company in battery and autonomous driving is beneficial for Changan Automobile to quickly open the high-end electric vehicle market and enhance its own brand value at the same time.
Changan's third quarterly report showed that revenue for the first three quarters was RMB 55.84 billion, up 23.77% year-on-year. Net profit was RMB 3.49 billion, an increase of 230.98% year-on-year.
Changan's third quarter revenue reached RMB 2.31 billion Changan Automobile, up 51.32% year-over-year. Net profit was RMB880 million Changan Automobile, an increase of 309.7% year-on-year.
Changan's overall sales of 219,526 units in November, up 24.5% year-on-year. After eight consecutive months of high growth, from January to November, Changan Automobile's cumulative sales have reached 1803047 units, an increase of 15.3% year-on-year.
