BMW and State Grid EV Service signed a cooperation agreement, the two sides will open strategic cooperation in three areas: charging technology research and innovation, charging service product cooperation and promotion, and promoting "new energy power for new energy vehicles".
In terms of charging technology research and innovation, BMW is cooperating with State Grid EV Service to develop high-power charging technology standards, plug-and-play technology and vehicle-pile-grid interaction technology research, and in order to ensure technology compatibility, BMW new energy vehicles and State Grid charging piles are undergoing comprehensive interoperability testing.
In the future, a purely electric car is expected to complete a charge in 10-20 minutes.
In terms of charging service product collaboration and push, BMW has partnered with State Grid EV Service to provide more than 270,000 charging stakes to car owners by the end of this year, doubling the current 130,000.
At the same time, the BMW charging network will cover more than 50,000 kilometres of motorway, which means there is an average of one charging pile every 50 kilometres of motorway.
In addition, the company will continue to improve the construction of exclusive charging stations for the BMW brand, covering key areas for new energy vehicles such as airports, shopping malls, hotels and dealerships.
In the field of promoting "new energy power for new energy vehicles", BMW will work with State Grid EV Service to build charging, photovoltaic and energy storage energy stations at BMW dealers to charge customers' vehicles through solar energy, so that new energy vehicles can be charged cleanly and the electricity generated can also be used by dealers for operation.
BMW's first integrated energy demonstration station will be completed in Beijing this year. In the future, BMW and State Grid EV Service will also strengthen cooperation in green power trading and battery ladder utilization to promote the use of clean energy throughout the production, use and recycling life cycle of electric vehicles, with the common goal of "car-pile-grid-user-society".
