Tesla China has added 3 new job postings, all related to energy and project development engineering management.
These positions include: 1. responsible for grid power generation and PV energy storage projects; 2. responsible for the development of solar PV and energy storage projects for commercial and residential users.
On May 21, Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. changed its business scope to include power generation, transmission and supply businesses (excluding nuclear power plant operations and construction), Tianyancha data showed.
Tesla's main business includes not only electric vehicles, but also battery energy storage technology, solar panels and solar roof tile manufacturing.
Tesla China's March job postings show two new hires in Tesla's energy division related to the "commercial/residential user side" - project development engineering manager and business development manager - both based at Tesla's Shanghai Lingang super plant.
Previously, Tesla CEO Musk tweeted in February that the company was stepping up the installation of solar roofs in the San Francisco Bay Area and that the business would soon enter the Chinese and European markets.
