Tesla said there are currently no price adjustments planned for the China-made Model 3 Long Range Edition based on production cost considerations and other factors.
Tesla announced on April 10 that it is officially opening pre-orders for the China-made Model 3 Long Range Rear Wheel Drive Edition and high-performance all-wheel drive Edition. The China-made Model 3 long-range rear-wheel-drive version sells for 339,050 yuan after subsidies and is expected to begin deliveries from June 2020.
On April 24, due to the subsidy policy adjustment, the long-range version increased by 5,000 yuan to 340,500 yuan.
On May 1, Tesla announced on its official Weibo account that the price of the China-made Model 3 standard range upgrade will be adjusted to a base price of 291,800 yuan. Based on this base selling price, the subsidized selling price is 271,550 yuan.
In response to questions about whether the long-range version will come down in price, Tesla said it has no price adjustment plans at this time.
"We want to meet the needs of different consumers through a wide range of products and configurations, no matter which model, we will present to consumers at today's excellent prices. The heart-stopping moment is the perfect time to join hands with Tesla."
