The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China said today that it will accelerate the release of the "New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021-2035)", prepare an action plan to promote the electrification of vehicles in the public domain.
It also said China will promote the improvement of vehicle electrification in the areas of public transport, sanitation, postal, and light logistics distribution.
According to the plan, by 2025, China's new energy vehicle sales will account for about 25%.
The plan proposes to deeply implement the national strategy for the development of new energy vehicles, promote China's new energy vehicle industry, and accelerate the construction of a powerful automobile country. With the implementation of new policies, new energy vehicles are expected to usher in new development opportunities.
The plan clearly stated that by 2030, the sales of new energy vehicles will account for 40% of the total sales of that year, and the sales of conditional autonomous driving intelligent connected vehicles will account for 70%.
