Karma Automotive announced the launch of the GTE all-electric model to expand its Revero series. The new car is similar in appearance to its Revero, Revero GTS and GT, and GTE will be the fourth model in the series. It uses the company's new E-Flex platform and battery technology.
The estimated cruising range of GTE after each charge is 200 miles (322 kilometers) to 300 miles (483 kilometers), depending on the battery selection.
The company said it will offer 400 miles (644 kilometers) in the future. All GTE models are expected to be released in spring 2021 (Northern Hemisphere).
Karma Automotive is using GTE models to demonstrate the versatility of its new E-Flex platform. The E-Flex platform has been demonstrated in the commercial truck concept and is extensible.
The car will also use karmic new battery technology, using a unique nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) lithium-ion battery pack with a standard model power range of 75 kWh to 100 kWh. The battery size of the 400-mile model has not yet been announced, but it should be within 140 kWh.
