Tesla said on Thursday that it will deliver the second batch of China-made Model 3 sedans to customers at the Shanghai plant on January 7.
On December 30, the China-made Tesla Model 3 was officially delivered to customers in the Shanghai Super Factory, which indicates that the Shanghai Super Factory has fully entered the production and delivery state.
The first batch of 15 vehicles was delivered to Tesla employees in China. In January 2020, Tesla will deliver the cars to other owners in the order they were ordered.
According to a previous report by Beijing Business Daily, a relevant person in charge of Tesla has stated that starting from the second batch of Chinese-made Tesla Model 3, the delivery customers will be expanded to social customers, and the delivery location may also be in Shanghai Super Factory.
The first batch of Tesla's Chinese-made Model 3 standard endurance upgrades with basic driver assistance features starts at 355,800 yuan.
In December this year, the model was included in the new energy vehicle catalogue and subsidy catalogue exempted from vehicle purchase tax by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. According to the new energy vehicle subsidy policy in 2019, the owners of this delivery will enjoy nearly 25,000 yuan in car purchase subsidies.
Tesla delivered the first China-made Model 3 at the Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai on Monday. The first owners of the Tesla Model 3 made in China were 15 Tesla employees.
