BYD's global share was higher than LG Energy Solution's in both July and August.

Gotion will build a 20 GWh per year power cell project in Hefei, Anhui and a 10 GWh per year project in Liuzhou, Guangxi.

The order is estimated at $110 million and the project is expected to be completed and delivered by the end of 2022.

Gotion expects third-quarter net profit to reach RMB 82.35 million ($11.45 million) to RMB 97.19 million, up 318.9 percent to 394.4 percent from a year ago.

CALB ranked third in September with a 6.16 percent share, while Gotion High-tech ranked fourth in September with a 4.33 percent share.

It's the largest economic development project ever in northern Michigan and will shore up the state's position as a global hub for mobility and electrification, said Michigan's governor.

CATL continues to rank first with a 46.79 percent share, while BYD continues to rank second with a 21.91 percent share.

From January to July, BYD's global share remained lower than LG Energy Solution, with the two at 12.6 percent and 14.2 percent respectively.

CATL continued to rank first in July with a 47.19 percent share, but down from 49.6 percent in June. BYD's share was 25.23 percent, its second highest on record.

LG Energy Solution ranked second with a 14.4 percent share and BYD ranked third with an 11.8 percent share, according to SNE Research.
