's Ningbo plant was shut down for 21 days around the Chinese New Year holiday and resumed production on February 1.

Zeekr delivered 5,455 vehicles in February, up 75.06 percent from 3,116 in January and up 87.07 percent from 2,916 in the same month last year, according to data released today by the Geely-owned electric vehicle (EV) maker.

Zeekr's current models on sale include the Zeekr 001 hatchback and the Zeekr 009 MPV, which start deliveries in October 2021 and January this year, respectively.

Zeekr's cumulative deliveries of were 86,519 units at the end of February, the company said, without providing a breakdown of the figures for either model.

The average order amount for the Zeekr 001 was RMB 336,000 ($48,840) and the Zeekr 009 was RMB 527,000, the company said.

As of February 28, Zeekr had more than 270 offline stores, covering nearly 70 major cities, it said.

In addition to the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr 009, the company is preparing to launch a third model, the compact Zeekr X, and made several previews a month ago.

The Zeekr X is 4,450 mm long, 1,836 mm wide and 1,572 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, according to information the company announced on February 3.

For comparison, the Zeekr 001 measures 4,970 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, 1,560 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3,005 mm.

Zeekr said the Zeekr X is an all-around SUV that can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds and will be the performance ceiling of any A-class SUV.

Both the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr 009 are built at Zeekr's plant in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, which was shut down for 21 days around the Chinese New Year holiday for upgrades and resumed production on February 1. January 21 to January 27 was the Chinese New Year holiday this year.

Zeekr's third model will not be built in Ningbo, but at Geely's plant in Chengdu, Sichuan province, a person familiar with the matter previously told CnEVPost.

On February 13, Geely announced that Zeekr had secured $750 million in Series A funding from five investors, which will bring Zeekr's valuation to $13 billion upon completion of the investment.

Zeekr will use the funding to accelerate the global development of its proprietary technology and also aims to expand its global market coverage by entering the European market in 2023, Geely said last month.

Zeekr aims to reach annual sales of 650,000 units by 2025 and have the top three global market share in the premium EV market, Geely said.
