For the full year 2022, 's share of China's power battery market was 48.2 percent and 23.45 percent.

China's power battery installed base was 36.1 GWh in December, up 37.9 percent year-on-year and up 5.5 percent from 34.3 GWh in November, according to data released today by the China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance (CABIA).

The ternary battery installations were 11.4 GWh, accounting for 31.6 percent of the total installed base, up 3.3 percent year-on-year and up 3.5 percent from November.

Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries were installed at 24.7 GWh, accounting for 68.3 percent of the total installed base, up 64.0 percent year-on-year and up 6.9 percent from November.

For the full year 2022, China's power battery installed base were 294.6 GWh, up 90.7 percent year-on-year.

Among them, ternary batteries installed in 2022 was 110.4 GWh, accounting for 37.5 percent of the total installed base, an increase of 48.6 percent year-on-year.

LFP battery installations were 183.8 GWh in 2022, accounting for 62.4 percent of the total installed base, an increase of 130.2 percent year-on-year.

CATL's power battery installed base in December was 17.89 GWh, continuing to rank first in China's power battery installed base with a 49.49 percent share, albeit lower than November's 50.64 percent.

BYD's power battery installed base in December was 9.36 GWh, ranking second with a 25.9 percent share, while CALB and Sunwoda ranked third and fourth with 5.11 percent and 3.87 percent shares respectively.

In the ternary battery market, CATL installed 7.27 GWh in December, ranking first with a 63.67 percent share, while Sunwoda and Farasis Energy ranked second and third with 9.30 percent and 6.81 percent shares, respectively.

In the LFP battery market, CATL installed 10.62 GWh of power battery vehicles in December, ranking first with 43.02 percent share, while BYD and CALB ranked second and third with 37.72 percent and 4.98 percent shares, respectively.

For the full year 2022, CATL's installed power battery volume was 142.02 GWh, ranking first with a 48.2 percent share.

BYD ranked second with 69.1 GWh or 23.45 percent share in 2022, and CALB ranked third with 19.24 GWh or 6.53 percent share.

In the ternary battery market, CATL's share in 2022 was 55.99 percent, followed by CALB with 11.27 percent and Sunwoda with 5.85 percent.

In the LFP battery market, CATL's share in 2022 was 43.63 percent, followed by BYD's 37.14 percent and Gotion High-tech's 6.47 percent.
