Nio's (NYSE: NIO) ET5 electric sedan wait time in China has been further reduced, after a similar change in that information was seen a week ago.

Consumers who lock in orders for the ET5 now can expect delivery in 8-10 weeks. On December 29, the wait time for the model was shortened from 10-12 weeks to 9-11 weeks.

Except for the ET5, wait times for all other Nio models remain unchanged.

Nio launched two new models -- the EC7 coupe SUV and the new ES8 -- at Nio Day 2022 on December 24, with deliveries set to begin in May and June 2023, respectively.

After the launch of the two new models, all previous models remain on sale, including the old ES8, ES6, EC6, ES7, ET7 and ET5.

The Nio App still does not show wait times for the old ES8 and EC6, and wait times remain at 2-3 weeks for both the ES7 and ET7, and about 2 weeks for the ES6.

The ET5 is produced at Nio's F2 plant in NeoPark, while all other models are produced at the JAC-Nio F1 plant.

The ET5 was launched on Nio Day 2021 in December 2021, with first delivery on September 30, 2022. Including the battery, the sedan has a starting price of RMB 328,000 ($46,970), making it the cheapest Nio model.

On September 16, 2022, Nio began showing wait times for all its models, with the ET5 then at 21-23 weeks.

Deliveries of the ET5 increased significantly in December, allowing Nio to reach a new record for deliveries in the month.

Nio delivered 15,815 vehicles in December, of which 7,594 were ET5s, contributing 48 percent.

ES7 delivered 4,154 units in December, down 15.17 percent from 4,897 units in November. ET7 delivered 1,379 units in December, down 57 percent from 3,207 units in November.
