Tesla expects to add Supercharger stations in 30 cities in October, including Xi'an, Shenyang, Zhengzhou and Nanjing.

Tesla added 40 Supercharger stations containing 161 Superchargers in the Chinese mainland in September, according to data shared by the company on Monday.
The new facilities are located in 28 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Yantai, Shijiazhuang and Wuhan, and some of the charging stations do not charge for parking.
Tesla expects to add Superchargers in October in 30 more cities, including Xi'an, Shenyang, Zhengzhou and Nanjing.
To date, Tesla has opened a cumulative total of more than 1,300 Supercharger stations in the Chinese mainland, containing more than 9,300 Superchargers, it said, reiterating previously shared figures.
Tesla also has more than 700 destination charging stations in the Chinese mainland, containing more than 1,800 destination charging piles.
Tesla began building its Supercharger network in 2012, and its first Supercharger station in the Chinese mainland was inaugurated in 2014 in Jinqiao, Shanghai.
On June 10, Tesla's 35,000th Supercharger worldwide was installed at one of its Tesla service centers in Wuhan, Hubei province, central China.
On August 30, Tesla announced that it reached 100 Supercharger stations in China's capital city of Beijing, offering 890 Supercharging piles.
On September 7, Tesla announced that it had put into operation its 200th Supercharger station in Guangdong province in southern China.
On September 9, Tesla said it put its 9,000th Supercharger in the Chinese mainland into operation in Yiyang, Hunan province.
