In September, China's power battery installed base was 31.6 GWh, up 101.6 percent year-on-year and up 14 percent from August, according to data released today by the China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance (CABIA).

CATL continued to rank first with 15.12 GWh of installed capacity, or 47.8 percent share. BYD continued to rank second with 7.1 GWh, or 22.44 percent share.

Their market shares in September were higher than August's 46.79 percent and 21.91 percent, respectively.

From January to September, the cumulative installed base of power batteries in China was 193.7 GWh, up 110.5 percent year-on-year.

From January to September, 77.2 GWh of ternary batteries were installed, accounting for 39.8 percent of the total installed capacity, up 63.9 percent year-on-year; 116.3 GWh of LFP batteries were installed, accounting for 60.1 percent of the total installed capacity, up 159.8 percent year-on-year.
