For the week of August 29 to September 4, the total number of passenger vehicle insurance registrations in China was 434,375, up 14.86 percent year-on-year but down 4.6 percent from the previous week.

Among them, 119,044 NEVs were registered, an increase of 90 percent year-on-year and a decline of 1.2 percent from the previous week.

The NEV penetration rate for the first week of the month was 27.41 percent, the first time the rate exceeded 27 percent after remaining at 25-26 percent for 12 consecutive weeks, the blogger noted.

It is worth noting that weekly high-frequency data usually fluctuates greatly, especially at the end of the month when the pulse effect is more pronounced in the Chinese auto industry.
