NIO will showcase its full range of models at an upcoming major auto show, including the ET5 sedan with a new body color that was not previously featured.
At Chengdu Motor Show 2022, which will open on August 26, NIO will bring its NIO House to the occasion and showcase the full range of its latest models, the company said today.
The much-anticipated pink ET5 will also make its debut, NIO said in an article posted on its mobile app.
Chengdu Motor Show 2022, the 25th Chengdu international auto show, will take place from August 26 to September 4 in Chengdu, Sichuan province, southwest China.
It will be the latest auto show to follow Auto Shenzhen 2022 in late May to early June, and comes at a time when Covid concerns are making it challenging to hold such events.
On August 26 at 10:00 Beijing time, NIO will live-stream its press conference via the NIO App and social media accounts, the company said today.
"ET5 is getting closer and closer," the NIO article reads.
NIO's booth at the show is located in Hall 10 - Booth H1010 at Western China International Expo City.
NIO unveiled the ET5, the company's fifth model and its second sedan after the ET7, at the NIO Day 2021 event on December 18, 2021.
The NIO ET5 began accepting reservations at the time of the announcement and will open for delivery in September 2022. As of now, no specific first delivery date has been set.
At the time of the ET5's launch, NIO said that the model would have up to nine body color options, with pink and yellow being exclusive to the model.
Yesterday, NIO announced that the first pre-production vehicles for the ET5 recently rolled off the production line at NIO's second advanced manufacturing base at NeoPark in Hefei, Anhui province.
The NIO ET5 is getting closer to being available, and the company will announce more information about the model at the Chengdu Motor Show on August 26, it said yesterday.
It is not clear if NIO will reveal the interior of the production version of the ET5 at Friday's event.
