Expected delivery dates for the rear-wheel drive Model Y in China have been shortened by two weeks, while both the Model 3 Performance and Model Y Performance have been extended by four weeks.

Delivery times for the entry-level version of Tesla's popular Model Y SUV in China have gotten shorter, perhaps due to increased production capacity following a production line upgrade at the Shanghai plant.
The latest expected delivery date in China for the rear-wheel-drive Model Y, priced at RMB 316,900 ($46,900), is 8-12 weeks, two weeks shorter than the previous 10-14 weeks, information on Tesla's China website shows.
Meanwhile, the expected delivery dates for both the Tesla Model 3 Performance and Model Y Performance in China have been extended.
The latest expected delivery date for the Model 3 Performance is 16-20 weeks, an increase of four weeks from the previous 12-16 weeks, and the latest expected delivery date for the Model Y Performance is 16-20 weeks, also an increase of four weeks from the previous 12-16 weeks.
Expected delivery times for other versions remain unchanged. Specifications and pricing for all models are also unchanged.
The last change to this information from Tesla was on June 17, when the company raised the Model Y Long Range price in China by RMB 19,000.

The adjustment to the expected delivery date may be related to the progress of the upgrade of Tesla's Shanghai factory.
On July 22, local media outlet Auto Time reported that Tesla began upgrading Giga Shanghai in July, with the second phase of the production line responsible for producing the Model Y completing the upgrade on July 16.
The first phase of the production line responsible for producing Model 3 sedans began the upgrade on July 17 and is expected to be completed on August 7, according to the report.
Employees at Tesla's phase 1 production line at the plant have been on leave since July 17 and are expected to work normally from August 8, the report said, citing multiple sources.
As a result of that upgrade, Tesla China is expected to see a significant drop in sales in July.
Tesla China's wholesale sales are expected to be 30,000 units in July, according to a report released by the China Passenger Car Association on August 4.
If that estimate is accurate, that would mean China-made Tesla vehicle sales in July were down 9 percent from the 32,968 units sold in the same month last year and down 62 percent from the record 78,906 units sold in June.
