Shares of China's electric vehicle trio -- Nio (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866, SGX: Nio), Motors (NYSE: XPEV, HKG: 9868), Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI, HKG: 2015) -- rose in early trading today in Hong Kong, as the launches of major new products later this month nears.

At press time, Nio was up 2.48 percent to HK$144.7, a new high for the month. Xpeng was up 3.55 percent to HK$94.75, a new high since May 23, and Li Auto was up 10.62 percent to HK$111.50, a new high since early April.

The three companies led the overall market in gains, as Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.48 percent and the Hang Seng Tech Index gained 1.62 percent.

Nio's new SUV ES7 will be launched on June 15, local auto media Xchuxing said on June 4, citing an event poster allegedly from Nio.

The poster shows that the launch of the Nio ES7 will be held online and will last for one hour. Nio has not yet officially announced the launch date of the ES7, and CnEVPost did not see the poster on the Nio App.
