Just less than half a month after raising the price of its vehicle, Geely's premium electric vehicle (EV) brand Zeekr has further scaled back the benefits it offers to consumers.

Zeekr is removing benefits including free charging pads and premium wheels for two versions of the Zeekr 001, the only model currently on sale, blaming the continued rise in raw material prices.

The Zeekr 001 is currently offered in three versions as follows:

The ultra-long-range single-motor WE version, starts at RMB 299,000 ($44,100).

Long-range dual-motor WE version with a starting price of RMB 299,000.

The ultra-long-range dual-motor YOU version, starts at RMB 386,000.

Zeekr is removing the free 7 kW home charging pile for both WE versions, an entitlement worth RMB 6,599, according to a statement posted on its app today.

The 21-inch wheel upgrade, previously offered for free on both WE versions and valued at RMB 11,000, will also be removed in favor of 19-inch wheels as standard.

The adjustment will go into effect at 0:00 on June 1, and consumers who pay a deposit before then will not be affected, Zeekr said.

This means that those who purchase both Zeekr WE versions after June 1 will have to pay an additional RMB 17,500 to receive the same benefits as they do now.

This comes just 13 days after Zeekr's most recent increase in vehicle pricing and reduction in benefits.

On May 1, the price of the highest-priced version of the Zeekr 001, the YOU version, was raised by RMB 18,000 from RMB 368,000 to RMB 386,000.

At the same time, the benefit of paying an RMB 5,000 deposit and thus enjoying the use of that deposit as RMB 7,500 was canceled.

The prices of the other two WE versions of the Zeekr 001 were unchanged at RMB 299,000, but the benefit of using the RMB 5,000 deposit as RMB 10,000 was canceled on May 1.

Zeekr was officially established as an independent company in March 2021, and the Zeekr 001 was announced on April 15 of last year.

The first production vehicle of the Zeekr 001 rolled off the production line on October 19, 2021, and 199 units of the model were delivered that month. The 2021 full-year deliveries of the Zeekr 001 were 6,007 units.

Zeekr delivered 2,137 Zeekr 001 units in April, up 19 percent from 1,795 units in March, according to figures it released on May 1.

Since deliveries of its first model began last October, Zeekr's cumulative deliveries stand at 16,385 units, data monitored by CnEVPost shows.
