JAC sold 27,387 units of all models in April, down 48.4 percent from 53,034 units in the same month last year.

Jianghuai Automobile Group Co (JAC), 's vehicle manufacturing partner, sold 7,671 pure electric passenger vehicles in April, the company announced today.

That's down 28.2 percent from 10,681 units a year ago and down 46.2 percent from 14,264 in March.

JAC did not specify, though as is industry practice, its EV sales figures should include Nio vehicles.

Nio delivered 5,074 vehicles in April, down 49 percent from 9,985 in March and 29 percent from 7,102 in the same month last year, the company's data released on May 1 showed.

This means that JAC's own brand of electric vehicles sold about 2,597 units in April, down from 4,279 units in March.

JAC exported 6,115 vehicles in April, down 3.7 percent from 6,352 units in the same month last year.

Early last month, Nio increased its stake in its joint venture with JAC, Jianglai Advanced Manufacturing Technology (Anhui) Co, from 49 percent to 50 percent.

On March 31 last year, Jianglai was officially established with a registered capital of RMB 500 million, 49 percent owned by Nio and 51 percent by JAC.
