Leapmotor delivers 9,087 vehicles in April, down 10% from March-CnEVPost

Chinese electric vehicle (EV) startup Leapmotor delivered 9,087 vehicles in April, down 10 percent from March and up 228 percent from a year ago, figures released today showed.

This is the 13th consecutive month that the company has exceeded 200 percent in monthly delivery growth.

In the January-April period, Leapmotor delivered 30,666 units, up 419 percent from 5,909 units in the same period last year, data monitored by CnEVPost shows.

Leapmotor was founded in 2015 and is currently selling the minivan T03, the coupe model S01 and the flagship SUV model C11.

The company increased the prices of the vehicles in March, with the T03 now starting at a range of RMB 73,900 ($11,180) to RMB 89,900, the S01 at RMB 129,900 to 149,900, and the C11 at RMB 179,800 to 229,800.

Leapmotor filed the first version of its prospectus with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on March 17, hoping to list there.

It delivered 43,748 electric vehicles in 2021, including 634 S01s, 39,149 T03s and 3,964 C11s, its prospectus showed.

On April 25, Leapmotor unveiled its CTC (Cell to Chassis) technology, which will integrate the battery, chassis and underbody into a single vehicle, thus eliminating the need for a separate battery pack.

Leapmotor's upcoming flagship sedan, the C01, will use this CTC technology, making it the first vehicle in the world to not use a separate battery pack.
