As one of the earliest electric vehicle (EV) companies established in China, Nio's energy replenishment system is the most comprehensive, and the mobile charging vehicle is one of them. Now, at the ongoing Boao Forum for Asia, Nio is using these vehicles to provide charging services for the venue's EVs.

The forum is being held in the town of Boao in Qionghai city, Hainan province, with discussions focusing on Covid outbreak prevention and control, the global economy, and green, low-carbon development.

The forum's venue uses many NEVs, and mobile charging vehicles from the Nio Power replenishment system are providing energy security for the forum, according to a press release issued Thursday by Nio on its app.

The press release includes images showing an Nio (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866) mobile charging vehicle charging a Buick all-electric SUV.

In 2019, the Nio ES8 had been selected as the guest hospitality vehicle for the Boao Forum for Asia.

Hainan is one of China's most active provinces in promoting the development of EVs, and as of April, Nio had 16 battery swap stations and eight supercharging stations in the province. It also has nine destination charging stations here and access to 7,762 third-party partner charging piles.

Nio opened a green eco program in 2021 to help ecological guarding of environmentally sensitive areas.

On May 11 last year, Nio launched the green island program with Sansha city in Hainan province to promote the use of clean energy in Xisha Islands.

On December 2 last year, Nio provided patrol vehicles and charging facilities for Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park to protect the local rainforest.

At the end of 2021, Nio launched the Clean Parks program, which will invest RMB 100 million over three years to support the use of EVs in nature reserves around the world.
