is actively integrating its upstream supply chain and production is gradually resuming at JAC-Nio's Hefei advanced manufacturing base, Xinhua's report said.

Nio's (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866) production halt earlier this month sparked widespread concern, and now as it gradually resumes production, state media outlet Xinhua highlighted it with a photo report.

Since April 9, Nio's car production has been suspended for some time due to supply chain tensions caused by the Covid outbreak, the report noted.

Currently, Nio is actively integrating its upstream supply chain and production is gradually resuming at JAC-Nio's Hefei advanced manufacturing base, the report said.

Here are the pictures of Nio's factory released by Xinhua's report, with nothing more than them.

Nio said on April 9 that it had suspended production due to Covid causing partners in its supply chain to shut down production.

William Li, the company's founder, chairman and CEO, said that Nio had some parts out of supply in mid-March due to the Covid outbreak in Changchun and Hebei, and was barely able to keep production supported until the beginning of the month by relying on some parts inventory.

On April 13, The Fly cited a report by Nomura analyst Martin Heung as sayting that after Nio announced that it had suspended production due to a shortage of auto parts supply from suppliers, the market generally believed that the company had conducted a complete production shutdown.

However, according to Heung's conversations with Nio management, that production suspension was limited to the weekend and the company's production lines remained operational on weekdays, albeit on a limited scale, according to the report.

On April 14, the Economic Observer quoted an unnamed Nio insider as saying that the company's supply chain had recovered slightly and that production was gradually resuming at the Hefei production site.
