CATL (SHE: 300750), the battery supplier to and , installed 10.81 GWh of power batteries in China in March, capturing 50.49 percent market share, according to data released today by the China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance (CABIA).

In February, CATL held a 48.02 percent market share with 6.57 GWh of installed capacity. The latest figures mean that the power battery giant increased its market share in China by 2.47 percentage points in March.

China's power battery installed base in March was 21.4 GWh, up 138 percent year-on-year and 56.6 percent from February, the CABIA data showed.

In the ternary battery market, CATL's installed base was 3.79 GWh in March, with a market share of 46.2 percent, down from 50.57 percent in February.

In the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery market, CATL's installed base in March was 7.02 GWh, with a market share of 53.28 percent, up 6.87 percentage points from 46.41 percent in February.

's power battery installed volume in March was 4.12 GWh, with a market share of 19.24 percent, down from 21.24 percent in February.

In the ternary battery market, BYD's installed base in March was 0.14 GWh, with a market share of 1.7 percent. The company's installed base in February was not in the top 10.

In the LFP market, BYD installed 3.98 GWh in March, with a market share of 30.18 percent, down from 36.55 percent in February.

CALB installed 1.84 GWh in March, ranking third with 8.58 percent market share, up from 8.44 percent in February.

Gotion High-Tech installed 0.93 GWh in March, ranking fourth with a 4.34 percent market share, down from 5.14 percent in February.
