On February 28, a donation ceremony was held at an Nio House in Beijing, attended by Liu Zhengrong, vice-chairman of the ACJA, and Nio co-founder and president Qin Lihong, according to a press release published today on the ACJA's website.

The ACJA's assistance program was established eight years ago and has provided assistance to a total of 371 editors and journalists, according to the press release.

Nio is proud to participate in this caring and compassionate program to help protect journalists' rights and support journalism in a practical way, Qin said.

The ACJA's press release did not provide further information, while according to a Xinhua report on October 27 last year, 57 journalists received aid totaling RMB 1.85 million in 2021.

In Xinhua's November 3, 2020, report, six people received RMB 300,000 each in aid for dying in duty, and 23 people received RMB 50,000 each in aid for being disabled in duty.
