The Model Y sold 23,117 units in China in November, making it the best-selling premium SUV, the latest data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) showed.

The CPCA released Tesla China wholesale sales and export figures for November yesterday, but did not release a breakdown of Model 3 and Model Y sales in China, and today they became available.

Tesla sold 8,615 Model 3s in China in November, 20 times that of the 422 units sold in October, the CPCA data showed. The Model 3 sales in China last November were 21,604 units.

Model Y sales in China in November were 23,117 units, up 74 percent from 13,303 in October. Deliveries of the model began in China in January of this year.

Tesla China's wholesale sales in November were 52,859 units, up 144.7 percent year-on-year and down about 3 percent from October, data released yesterday by the CPCA showed.

Tesla China exported 21,127 units in November, meaning it sold 31,732 units in China itself, the CPCA's data showed.

Today's data showed that the Model Y ranked first in November's high-end SUV sales rankings, followed by 's Li ONE with 13,485 units and the Mercedes-Benz GLC with 12,269 units. The Nio ES6 ranked eighth with 4,713 units.

It is worth noting that in terms of year-on-year growth, Li ONE and Nio ES6 maintained high growth and Model Y's year-on-year data is not available. All other high-end SUVs are from legacy carmakers, and all sales were down significantly from the same period last year.

In the January-November premium SUV sales ranking, Model Y ranked second with 129,353 units, behind BMW X3 with 139,328 units. Li ONE ranked fifth with 76,404 units and Nio ES6 ranked 10th with 36,535 units.

In the November new energy SUV sales ranking, Model Y ranked first, Song ranked second with 19,697 units, and Li ONE ranked third. G3 ranked seventh with 5,620 units, Nio ES6 ranked 10th, Nio EC6 ranked 11th with 3,482 units, and Nio ES8 ranked 15th with 2,683 units.

Looking at the ranking of new energy cars in November, SAIC-GM-Wuling's Hongguang Mini EV ranked first with 40,395 units, BYD Qin ranked second with 30,049 units, and BYD Han ranked third with 12,838 units.

Tesla Model 3 ranked 6th with 8615 units and Xpeng P7 ranked 9th with 7839 units.

In the list of new energy sedan sales from January to November, Hongguang Mini EV ranked first with 344,890 units, BYD Qin ranked second with 161,287 units, and Tesla Model 3 ranked third with 120,788 units.
