received the ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certificates from BSI, becoming the first Chinese carmaker to receive both certifications.

Xpeng Motors recently received the ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certificates issued by BSI, an international standards certification body, becoming the first Chinese carmaker to receive both certifications, the company said today.

ISO 27001 corresponds to the information security management system and ISO 27701 corresponds to the privacy protection management system.

These certifications cover a wide range of areas, including Xpeng's design, research and development, manufacturing and sales, marking the company's information security and privacy protection to international authoritative standards, the company said.

"In the process of improving the management of information security and privacy, we chose to work in-depth with BSI, the British Standards Institution. It was established by Royal Charter and is part of the UK's national standards body, providing a wide range of business solutions for companies worldwide," Xpeng said.

ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 are now globally accepted system standards in the field of information security and privacy protection, and are authoritative indicators of advanced, modern and compliant business management and technical services, the company said.

Protecting user privacy and data security is not only a basic requirement for legal compliance, but also a commitment to users and a cornerstone for healthy and sustainable development, Xpeng said.
