Nio announced today that it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Nanjing Tourism Group, under which the two companies will cooperate in the long-term in areas including cultural and tourism product services, marketing and promotion, and new energy facility construction.

The company announced the progress on its app, saying the two companies will jointly promote the construction of world-class tourism destination scenic spots to help achieve the goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.

The two will focus on improving the layout of charging and battery swap facilities in tourist attractions in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, according to the information announced by Nio.

Nio today put a battery swap station and supercharging station into operation at the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, a 5A scenic spot in China, as part of their partnership.

In addition, Nio has also become the hospitality vehicle partner of Nanjing Tourism Group and will provide shuttle services for guests in the world-class 5A tourist attraction. Nio did not release details about this.

As of today, Nio has 20 battery swap stations, 14 supercharging stations, 5 destination charging stations and access to over 12,000 third-party charging posts in Nanjing.

As of December 2, Nio has 679 battery swap stations and 518 supercharging stations in China. It also has 600 destination charging stations and access to more than 430,000+ third-party charging piles.
