Previously Ford only allowed the first Mustang Mach-E customers to experience the Co-Pilot 360 software for free for 90 days.
As the China-made Mustang Mach-E gets closer to delivery, Ford is starting to come up with new initiatives to entice consumers to order the car.
The company said today that the first Mustang Mach-E customers who sign a purchase contract by December 31 will receive a free Co-Pilot 360 driving assistance software package worth 15,000 yuan ($2,340).
In comparison, Ford previously only allowed the first Mustang Mach-E customers to experience Co-Pilot 360 software for 90 days for free.
In addition to the software, the first Mustang Mach-E customers will receive a number of benefits including an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty, free home charging piles and installation services.
The Mustang Mach-E is an all-electric coupe SUV from Ford that focuses on sporty styling. Since its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2019, the vehicle has been considered one of the strongest competitors to the Tesla Model Y.
On January 28 this year, Ford officially announced plans for the Mustang Mach-E in China and said the model would be produced by Changan Ford, the company's joint venture in the country.
On April 13, Ford officially unveiled the Mustang Mach-E in China with a price range of RMB 265,000 to RMB 379,000, a significant overlap with the Tesla Model Y.
The model has a maximum CLTC range of 619 km and the fastest 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.65 seconds.
The Mustang Mach-E comes standard with six cameras and 17 radars, and the new generation of Ford Co-Pilot360 driver assistance system will also make its debut on the Mustang Mach-E.
The first production vehicles of the Mustang Mach-E rolled off the production line on October 18 at a plant in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing, with deliveries expected by the end of the year, Ford said at the end of last month.
It's worth noting that the Mustang Mach-E was anticipated by many, but recent reports indicate that some reservation holders have canceled their orders due to long waiting times.
