Geely, China's largest private automaker, has set an aggressive 2025 target.

The company announced on Sunday its "Smart Geely 2025" strategy, which aims to achieve total sales of 3.65 million vehicles by 2025, meaning an average of 10,000 vehicles sold per day.

The goal is for the entire Geely Group, including 650,000 units for Zeekr and 3 million units for Geely Auto.-

Geely wants Geely Auto to achieve 900,000 new energy vehicle sales by 2025, accounting for 30 percent of its total sales. If Zeekr's sales are taken into account, Geely hopes the ratio can reach 40 percent by 2025.

As a comparison, Geely's cumulative sales exceed 1.32 million units in 2020, maintaining its position as the top-selling Chinese brand of passenger cars for four consecutive years.

Geely plans to invest RMB 150 billion in R&D over five years and launch more than 25 new smart new energy vehicle products.

This includes more than 10 models from the Geely brand, more than five models from Geometry, more than five models from Lynk & Co, and more than five models from its new battery swap-enabled mobility brand.

Geely aims to commercialize L4 autonomous driving technology and fully master L5 autonomous driving technology by 2025.

The automaker also hopes to increase its expansion in overseas markets, aiming to reach 600,000 units by 2025.
