SAIC Group's car sales in July were 352,546 units, down 22.95 percent from 457,558 units a year ago, according to data released by the company Friday.

SAIC's cumulative vehicle sales from January to July were 2.65 million units, up 5.71 percent from a year earlier.

The company did not separately announce its new energy vehicle sales, but it said on Wednesday that its new energy passenger vehicle sales exceeded 10,000 for the fifth consecutive month, up 92 percent in July from a year earlier.

SAIC-Volkswagen sold 70,001 units in July, down about 48 percent from 134,000 in the same month last year.

SAIC-GM sales in July were 90,017 units, down 20 percent from 112,767 units in the same month last year.

SAIC-GM-Wuling sold 110,000 units in July, down 15 percent from 130,000 units in the same month last year.

SAIC produced 344,610 vehicles in July, down 27 percent from 474,581 in the same month last year.

SAIC-Volkswagen produced 72,145 vehicles in July, down 53 percent from 152,293 in the same month last year.

SAIC-GM produced 85,335 units in July, down 26 percent from 115,723 units in the same month last year.

SAIC-GM-Wuling produced 105,056 units in July, down 20 percent from 131,286 units in the same month last year.
