and have been named to the Top 20 list of Chinese car companies for the first time in an annual ranking sponsored by the China Machinery Industry Federation and the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

The list is based on revenue in 2020, and this year the top three are SAIC Motor, China FAW Group and Dongfeng Motor.

was ranked No. 9, Nio No. 15 and Li Auto No. 19. Motors did not make the list.

Nio's revenue in 2020 was RMB 16.3 billion ($2.5 billion), Li Auto was RMB 8.4 billion and Xpeng was RMB 5.8 billion.

In the first half of 2021, China's auto manufacturing industry accumulated RMB 287.68 billion in profit, up 45.2 percent year-over-year, according to previously released data.

In the latest J.D. Power quality survey, both Nio and Li Auto achieved good results.

The Nio ES6 ranked highest in the luxury pure electric segment, while Li Auto's sole model, the Li ONE, ranked first in the mainstream plug-in hybrid market.

Li ONE delivered 7,713 units in June, an increase of 320.6 percent over the same month last year and 78.4 percent over May.

Nio delivered 8,083 units in June, up 116.1 percent year-over-year and up 20.4 percent from May.
