Polestar aims to double its global retail stores by year-end-CnEVPost

Polestar, the premium electric car brand owned by China's Geely and Volvo, will accelerate the expansion of its retail market and network to support the company's business growth.

Polestar is expected to double its global retail stores from 9 to 18 by the end of 2021, and double its global retail network to 100, the company said in a press release.

Polestar currently has Polestar Space, located in the heart of the city, and with this retail format. It will introduce a new retail concept, Polestar Destination.

Polestar Destination will be located on a larger site and will assume the function of vehicle delivery. Both retail formats will allow consumers to book test drives, the company said.

By the end of 2021, about 60 additional test drive locations will be operational worldwide to provide additional Polestar2 test drives, the company said.

Polestar currently has more than 650 after-sales service locations worldwide, with a target number of more than 780 Polestar service locations worldwide by the end of 2021.

In China, Polestar currently has 15 Polestar Space and 51 authorized service centers in operation.

By the end of 2021, Polestar will have 25 Polestar Spaces in operation in China.
