Li Auto today announced the opening of its 100th directly operated retail center in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province.

Since its first retail centers opened on May 1, 2019, the sales network now covers 65 cities in China.

With 48 new retail centers in 24 cities added across China this year, will accelerate the construction of its direct retail system in the second half of the year so that more customers can experience the Li ONE close to home, Li Auto said.

Li Auto also currently has 39 delivery centers and 169 after-sales service centers and authorized sheet metal spray centers.

By the end of 2021, Li Auto plans to have 200 directly operated retail centers, covering more than 100 cities in China, it said.

Li Auto said that entering its retail centers is as easy as entering Starbucks.

The company currently has only one model on sale - the Li ONE - and on Tuesday, May 25, Li Auto unveiled an updated version of the Li ONE, optimized in terms of self-driving capabilities as well as hardware specifications.

Its standard version is priced at RMB 338,000 ($52,200), just RMB 10,000 higher than the 2020 model's RMB 328,000.

The company also offers Baby Blue, Deep Green, and Tech Blue special editions for customers to choose from, and they are priced at RMB 348,000, RMB 10,000 higher than the standard version.

The new Li ONE is equipped with two Journey 3 chips, the latest chips from local chip company Horizon Robotics, which makes Li Auto the first company to build an assisted driving system based on local chips.

L2 assisted driving is standard on the new Li ONE with the full-stack self-developed NOA navigation assisted driving system, which will go live in September this year.

The company delivered 7,713 Li ONEs in June, a record high. This represents a 320.6% increase over the same month last year and a 78.4% increase over May.

Li Auto added more than 10,000 new orders in June, an all-time high, the company said.
