As the G3i, a facelift of its compact SUV G3, gets closer to launch, Xpeng Motors has released more information about the vehicle.

The company on Tuesday shared several images of the G3i's exterior and interior, showing a front-end design style similar to that of the P7.

The style, also known as the X Robot Face, features a split headlight design and offers a through LED light strip in the center of the front, the most recognizable feature of the P7.

The G3i's door handles will feature the usual hidden design for electric cars, ditching the traditional design scheme used in the G3.

The G3's floating roof design has been retained on this model.

The interior design of the G3i has also been optimized, with Xpeng calling the new design "premium and orderly."

The G3i will go on sale on July 9, the official Weibo of automotive industry website Diandong.com said on Tuesday.

The new car will continue to be available in 460-kilometer and 520-kilometer range versions, the same as the current G3, according to the Weibo post.

The Xpeng G3 is the company's first model, which has won a large number of users with its lower price and smart features since its launch in 2018.

The current G3 is produced on behalf of Haima Motor at its plant in Zhengzhou, central China, while the G3i will be produced by Xpeng's own plant in Zhaoqing, Guangdong.

The starting price of the current G3 model includes 149,800 yuan and 162,800 yuan versions, but only the latter is currently available on its official website, and the lower-priced version is no longer in stock.
