Tesla has built a new supercharging station in light-rich Lhasa, which cleverly utilizes a solar power generation and storage system to achieve an efficient cycle of clean energy.

The supercharging station consists of a solar photovoltaic power generation system, an energy storage system, and charging piles.

The photovoltaic system converts solar energy into electricity continuously, and the storage system stores energy and uses the charging pile to charge the vehicle.

With an altitude of 3,650 meters and over 3,000 hours of sunshine throughout the year, Lhasa is one of the cities with the longest average sunshine hours in China.

As early as a decade ago, solar stoves and solar water heaters were commonly used by Lhasa residents, and solar energy has become an important source of energy for their daily life.

Late last year, the city saw the completion of its first solar central heating project.

Back at , it was also reported that it announced it will launch its energy division in China with products including Powerwall batteries and solar rooftop systems.

Around the world, Tesla has rolled out a number of energy storage facilities and charging equipment to bring clean energy deeper into the lives of more customers.
