Geely's EV brand Zeekr said it has sold out of deliveries of its first model, the Zeekr 001, available for delivery this year and has stopped taking further deposits.

The company said the Zeekr 001 has far exceeded expectations during its pre-sale phase and has been highly recognized by the market and its customers.

The Zeekr 001 is the first model under the Zeekr brand and is a rebranding of the model previously known as the Lynk ZERO. It was launched on April 15, 2021 and deliveries will begin in October this year.

It is available in 3 models with a price range of RMB 281,000 - 360,000 yuan. It is built on the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform and has a wheelbase of 3,005mm.

In the new normal of tight global automotive parts supply, Zeekr is actively consolidating the Group's global strengths to secure the supply of capacity for the Zeekr 001 and ensure that deliveries start in October, he said.

Zeekr will deliver from October 2021 for those who have paid a deposit before June 15 in the order of deposit payment, with some models likely to be delivered in January.

For those who pay a deposit after June 15, deliveries will be made after Spring Festival 2022.

As of June 14, the average order amount of Zeekr 001 exceeded RMB 335,000, breaking the price moat of traditional luxury brands, said the company.

Among them, the highest-spec Zeekr 001 YOU edition contributed more than 40% to the number of orders, making it the most popular edition among users. More than 82% of users chose extra options, with the average option amounting to RMB 19,000.

The Zeekr 001 combines the design language of an SUV and a sedan, with a length of 4,970mm, a wheelbase of 3,005mm and a wind resistance of 0.23Cd.

The car has a 50:50 body weight distribution, which the company says is designed to provide a stable handling experience.

The top-spec version of the car features fully automatic air suspension with a CCD electromagnetic damping system and adjustable ground clearance in the 117mm-200mm range.

The full vehicle is equipped with 15 HD cameras with up to 8 megapixels. It has one 250m ultra-long range millimeter-wave radar and 12 short-range ultrasonic radars.
