Chinese electric car maker delivered 2,300 units of the Li ONE, its only model, in February, down 57 percent from January and up 755 percent from a year ago.

As of February 28, Li ONE has accumulated more than 40,000 deliveries, reaching 41,276 units.

It's worth noting that the Chinese auto market is traditionally slow from January to February and that the Chinese New Year holiday during that period can make deliveries fluctuate.

Last year, the Chinese New Year holiday was from February 24 to  February 31, and this year it was from February 11 to February 17.

"February sales are somewhat influenced by the seasonality of the Chinese New Year and Covid-19 in China's northern regions," said Yannan Shen, co-founder, and president of Li Auto.

"We believe that Li ONE sales will continue to improve as the sales and service network continues to expand and the outbreak is effectively contained," he stated.

Earlier today released figures showing it delivered 5,578 vehicles in February, down 22.8 percent from January.

That delivery volume included 1,327 ES8s, 2,216 ES6s, and 2,035 EC6s, according to the company's fourth-quarter and 2020 earnings report released today.

From January to February, Nio delivered a total of 12,803 vehicles, up 455 percent from 2,305 vehicles in the same period last year.

Xpeng's cumulative deliveries from January to February increased by 577 percent compared to the same period last year.

The Xpeng P7 delivered 1,409 units in February, bringing cumulative deliveries to 20,181 units and making it the fastest model from a new carmaker to surpass 20,000 deliveries, the company said.
