The Mate 40 series was launched in China on October 30. Volvo's first model with Huawei's HMS for Car intelligent in-vehicle cloud service solution, the Volvo XC40 RECHARGE, was also on display at the launch event.

The Volvo XC40 RECHARGE is now available for blind order and will be officially launched on November 20 at the Guangzhou Auto Show.

HMS for Car is Huawei's major exploration of the vehicle ecology, a smart in-car cloud service solution created by Huawei Terminal Cloud Services.

It is based on HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) and combines the AI scene engine with Huawei's ecological resources to provide users with accurate and rich travel scene content and services, helping the car evolve from a vehicle to an intelligent terminal with the ability to interact and provide services.

Since its debut at the Huawei Developer Conference in September this year, HMS for Car has attracted widespread attention.

The Volvo XC40 RECHARGE, equipped with Huawei's in-vehicle application marketplace, offers more than 35 applications covering 16 categories.

The new model is equipped with Huawei's "Quick App", which can be used without the need to download and install an app.

Volvo XC40 RECHARGE is also equipped with Huawei's Smart Assistant, which can push reminders, services, and journeys in the form of cards according to users' usage scenarios.

The Volvo XC40 RECHARGE is also equipped with Huawei's Smart Assistant, which can push reminders, services, and journeys in the form of cards. When users are driving home from work and are within 500 meters of their home, the system can automatically start the "home mode" and open the curtains and air conditioning in advance.

In addition to the Huawei App Market, Huawei Quick App, and Huawei Intelligent Assistant services already available on the Volvo XC40 RECHARGE, HMS for Car also includes the upcoming My Car, Huawei Music, and Huawei Video applications.

It is worth mentioning that the My Car feature opens up the system-level entry capability of smart hardware such as Huawei mobile phones to automakers, enabling reverse push capabilities such as remote control, car search, and key information about car services/alerts.
